Review: The Emperor's Tomb

The Emperor's Tomb The Emperor's Tomb by Steve Berry
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved this book!
The fact is that my mum gave me the book 1 year ago. It was hard for me to start it. I have started reading the book three or four times. I don't know why I couldn't continue reading it in the past. Once I started it the last time and passed the first 60 pages, I just couldn't let it go.

Mr. Berry did an amazing job. I am speechless.
The book was so interesting and fast pacing. It was cleverly written and it was sooo informative. The Emperor's Tomb made me start on the Cotton Malone series.
What I like the most about this book is that most of the information, which is used in the book is true and by reading it, one can really enrich him or herself.

Thank you mummy, for providing me whit the nice adventure of reading about China.
And... thank you Mr. Berry for making this trip with Cotton so pleasant and so beneficial. I can't wait to see where else your books will take me.

Review: The Death Sculptor

The Death Sculptor The Death Sculptor by Chris Carter
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

It's not a bad book. I like the way Chris Carter writes and this book is as good as the first 3 in the series. The book has a lot of unexpected twists for a crime novel. It really reminds me of "Criminal Minds" with all the cruel serial killers and Robert the psychologist.

As far as the plot goes, I am very happy the this is the forth book that I read by Chris Carter, and although there is a hint of personal drama and love and so on, it stays only there, as hint. It was the same with the previous 3 books and the case is still the same. I am happy the Mr. Carter did not spoil a good crime story with a lot of the main character's feelings and emotions.

In short the book is well written and easy to enjoy. The only problem that I have with the way Carter writes is that he does not give the reader access to all the evidences. He says something like: Robert looked at the sheet in front of him and he finally saw it. But we don't know what is on that stupid paper. The writer does not give his readers a chance of solving the crimes by themselves.

Review: "The Night Stalker" by Chris Carter

The Night Stalker The Night Stalker by Chris Carter
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I am sorry to say that this book was not as good as the previous two. There was something about it that just did not do it for me. It definitely was not the crimes, since they were very ... hm.. how do one say that he or she likes the way someone is killed in a book ;) Let's say the crimes were cleverly thought. But still something in the story made me stop reading it for almost half a mount.
If I have to be honest, if this was the first book of the series that I have read, I wouldn't have read the others. Now the only reason I am going to start the next one, is because I received very good review for it from my mother.
Let's hope that the next book would not disappoint me too.

Quote of the day!

"Nothing is IMPOSSIBLE! The word itself says I'M POSSIBLE!"

by

Audrey Hepburn

As far as I am concerned, Friday is just another day. If you think that Friday is so special, that means that you don't like you job enough to do it with pleasure every day. If that is the case than you should do more than just wait for the next Friday and live your life only on Saturdays and Sundays!

Review: "52 Steps To Murder (Dekker Cozy Mystery #1)" by Steve Demaree

52 Steps To Murder (Dekker Cozy Mystery #1)52 Steps To Murder by Steve Demaree
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I found this book free on Amazon. I still can't understand how could this have been possible. The book is great. It's funny and cunning.
The characters are great and the story is well written.
I am a great crime novels' fan, and I always enjoy a good crime story. I am obliged to say that this book is a piece of art. The crime itself is very intelligently made and almost impossible to solve.
In short I like it a lot. I plan to read the next books from the series too.

Review: More than Meets the Ink

More than Meets the Ink More than Meets the Ink by Elle Aycart
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I was hooked up by this book. I found it free on Amazon and I was amazed how this good book can be free. It was great. I read all the books in the series after that.
The characters are great and the story is interesting and hot. It's about one of those man that a girl can only dream about. Heck, I still dream about it.

Edited:
Two monts after reading this series I can say only that I still have not found a better series in this ganre to read. There was something different about Aycart's books. Something that made me want more. There was something in these brothers that made them feel real. May be it was the fact that neither the girls nor the boys were perfect looking. I still cannot understant what it was. But beleive me, those books are great.!

Review: Operator: A High Tech Sci-Fi Thriller

Operator: A High Tech Sci-Fi Thriller Operator: A High Tech Sci-Fi Thriller by Shane Phillips
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

I don't like it. Good thing the book was free, so I did not spend any real money on ti.
I don't know if the book is part of something bigger or what was the purpose of this story, but I did not like it. It was like taken of a part of something with no beginning and no topic.
